Brief Narrative Bio


Tomer Shachar is a Senior Principal Cybersecurity Strategist and Architect at Dell ISG, where he leads strategic Security Initiatives and oversees the Dell ISG Security Initiative. He joined Dell in 2016 and has since contributed to the company's vision and strategy in the field of CyberSecurity, collaborating with Dell's Security Leaders and Product Management. He is responsible for managing Security Policies, advocating for Secured Design practices, and defining cross-organizational Common Software to enhance Security measures. He also plays a significant role in Dell's Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC).


Before the current role, Tomer was the Chief Software & Security Architect at CloudIQ Cybersecurity, where he led comprehensive Threat Hunting and Infrastructure Risk Analysis, specializing in criticality assessments for effective fixes. He implemented advanced security controls, enhanced the security posture in both Cloud and On-Premise environments, and aligned customer needs with strategic objectives. He also designed cutting-edge product architectures, including essential artifacts and initiated a ransomware detection project, leading from telemetry gathering to strategic decision-making on ML models. He oversaw product development, ensuring a cohesive integration with other lines, considering both technological and business aspects.


Tomer has extensive expertise in technical areas of Security, Cloud, Storage, Servers, Network, Backup, and Enterprise Applications, and he is always eager to learn and explore new domains and technologies. He is also a mentor, an innovator, and an inventor, with more than 85 patents filed in the areas of computer engineering and security.
