Will the Cloud make traditional Storage irrelevant?

This question has been up in the air for a long time, as the Cloud infrastructure becomes more advanced and more and more data is transferred to the Cloud.

I think the question should be different: "How can traditional storage be part of the Cloud infrastructure?"

This is a good question because when you take a deeper look into the Cloud, the highlight comes are :

    1. Where the data saved in the Cloud is stored, it can't be virtual.
    2. Cloud virtualization (like virtual machines, container, etc) also data that need to be stored somewhere.

In this case, I would say that traditional storage is doing Digital Transformation. Since there will always be customers that will not move to the Cloud, traditional storage is required. Adding that the Cloud itself needs to have storage to operate

Make no place to doubt that the Storage going to stay with us.

The real question is, which Storage provider will bless this transformation and will increase its market, and who will stay behind?

Best regards,
